FCC proposes E-Rate changes to support more broadband and WI-Fi connections
As part of an initiative to increase broadband and Wi-Fi access to all schools and libraries, FCC Chairman Wheeler has proposed revisions to E-Rate funding regulations. For more information click here.

FCC Changes for FY2015
E-Rate Elite Services-E-Rate Bulletin
Changes in allowable charges for 2015 Funding Year.

On Friday, May 23, 2014, the FCC issued an order that reinstates cost allocation of ineligible services that are bundled with services that are E-Rate eligible. For more information click here.

FY2014 Estimate of Demand
Based on 45,731 funding requests for the 2014 funding year, USAC estimates that the total estimated demand is $4.825 billion. For more information click here.

NOTICE: E-Rate Pro Access may be temporarily affected as we implement upgrades. We apologize for any inconvenience.

2014 Eligible Services List
2014 List of Eligible Services.
The primary changes have been:

  • More detailed definitions regarding leased and lit fiber
  • Specification that blogging, chat, and similar services are eligible ONLY if they are provided as part of a bundle from a single web host provider. These services are not eligible when purchased separately through other providers.
